lifestyle spectrums in the world. These lifestyles affect cats’ comfort when they interact with humans. Not every cat we can easily touch, because cats also have fear, anxiety and frustration when meeting humans that are not familiar with them.

Kucing Liar

  • Born and live on the streets, possibly born from stray cats.
  • Live in areas far from residential areas or in vacant lots.
  • Mostly live in solitary, and spend most of their lives hunting and surviving.
  • Kittens that are born from stray cats are not used to being touched and held by humans.
  • Not socializing and don’t have any experience in interacting with people.

Street Cats

  • Born in the streets.
  • Roaming freely in relatively high population areas, like villages or cities.
  • Usually hang around other cats in areas where there are food available.
  • Some of them are quite friendly with humans who are familiar to them.
  • Kittens usually have parents possibly from stray cats or pet cats, but they don’t have experience living with humans.

Pet Cats

  • Born from pet cat parents .
  • Live with humans, sometimes they’re inside or outside the house.
  • Kittens are being cared by their pet cat mother, kittens also have good experience and often interacting.
  • Easily interact with humans, whether they’re familiar or not.

Inbetweener Cats

catcare calls these cats “Inbetweener Cats”. These are cats that live with humans but they don’t feel comfortable because they’re constantly scared or have high anxiety This caused by the lack of their experience interacting with humans and they have characteristic feature such as anxious and scared of being close to humans
