Recommended installation procedure: 1. Turn off the water supply valve at the faucet. 2. Remove the old P-trap. 3. Remove nuts and washers A, B, C, and D from the J-bend. 4. Slide nut D along the drain pipe before placing the pipe onto the connection pipe or floor connection. 5. Slide the lip over the drain pipe. 6. Connect the drain pipe to the drain line through the floor. NOTE: For new installations, ensure the drain pipe has the appropriate adapter to accept the floor pipe. 7. Slide washer C onto the drain pipe. 8. Place nut A and washer B onto the connection piece. 9. Place the J-bend. Tighten nut A by hand onto the connection piece and nut D onto the drain pipe at the J-bend. 10. Align the pieces. Tighten with a wrench. Run water to check for leaks. Slide the lip down to the floor.
- Prepare for water and debris: Place a bucket under the old P-trap before removing it
- Ensure watertight seal: Apply thread seal tape on the drain threads before installing nuts
- Protect chrome finish: Use a cloth to safeguard the chrome finish on nuts when tightening with a wrench
