The difference is that the Black Craft features a full polyurethane covering. This makes the hammer non-sparking and resistant to grease, oil, and other chemicals that may damage the hammer. The Black Craft dead blow hammer features faces that are made from extruded nylon material and will not crack like molded, screw in face inserts used by other manufacturers.
