Burnout On Animal
Shelter Workers

Burnout happens to social workers and Animal shelter workers. The stress limits workers to do their best. Workers feel angry, empty, useless, weariness. This range of emotions causes workers to be alone, pulling themselves from society, or even choosing drugs

Burnout is caused by a lot of things, which are: high work pressure, less appreciation from people, workers having no time to socialize, and Burnout comes from the animals themselves. A study shows that workers doing euthanasia in animal shelters have high Burnout.

Working in animal shelters makes you happy because it creates happiness for the abandoned animals, and it might be sad to know that society is still blind to this. But caring for animals requires you to care for yourself. Emotion is infectious, emotion affects everyone, and holding your emotions might trigger them to explode someday later. You are allowed to work to your best capability, but you also need to care for yourself. If you are mentally and physically healthy, you are able to increase the welfare of these animals
