How to Make Your Pet Cat’s Environment Comfortable

Cats are one of the favourite animals kept by many Indonesian people. Various types of breeds, such as Persian cats, Angoras, British short-haired cats, and domestic cats, are very popular with Indonesian people. As a responsible pet owner, there are many things that must be considered when raising a cat to maintain the cat’s health and welfare in the long term.

The following are some things to consider if you own a cat:

1. Give your cat a room of its own and make sure it has access to toys, a litter box, a spot to eat and drink, a place to rest, a cat tree, or a place to climb and sharpen its nails.

2. Set out the dishes of food and liquids apart from the litter box. In addition to preventing contamination, this will improve the cat’s comfort level when eating or drinking and help them avoid offensive odours. In addition, make sure you clean the litter box every day and serve food in portions that are appropriate for you. You should also substitute boiling and clean water for drinking water.

3. Give cats some media to play with and give them nail trims so they can’t scratch the furniture in the house. One alternative would be to utilise tree paint or repurposed materials like cardboard and rope. Encourage cats to play with these media on a regular basis to help them grasp what is available for them to play with.

4. Give your cat a spot to climb and gaze out the window; this will help them cope with stress.

5. Regularly schedule a check-up with the veterinarian for your cat. It is advised to
visit the veterinarian for the cat before any issues are noticed. In addition, administering worm medication, flea repellent, and immunisations on a regular basis helps to preserve the health of cats.

A cat will exhibit certain behaviours if its needs are satisfied and it feels comfortable, including being active, socialising with people often, eating well and drinking plenty of water, defecating regularly (2-4 times per day), grooming itself, sleeping comfortably, and in certain cases, vocally expressing his behaviour. Thus, to ensure the health and prosperity of your pet cat, make sure you give the proper atmosphere.
