Karin Franken and JAAN Domestic Receive Prestigious Award from PB-PDHI
Exciting news comes from the world of animal welfare in Indonesia. Karin Franken, CEO of JAAN Domestic, has received the prestigious Award for Outstanding Contribution to Animal Welfare. This award was presented by the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PB-PDHI) during the PB-PDHI Awards 2025 event held at Hotel Merlyn, Jakarta. The award recognizes the dedication and significant impact made by the foundation she leads in advancing animal welfare across Indonesia.
The award ceremony was attended by key figures in the field of veterinary medicine, including Dr. drh. Munawaroh, M.M., President of the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association. Several other award recipients were also present, making this event a milestone in the journey of JAAN Domestic, which has been established since 2008.
In her speech, Karin Franken expressed heartfelt gratitude to PB-PDHI for this honor. She also extended high appreciation to her team at JAAN Domestic, who have tirelessly worked to carry out their mission of rescue, rehabilitation, campaigns, and education for the welfare of domestic animals in Indonesia.
“We believe that every animal has the right to live a decent and happy life. This award is not just for me, but for the entire JAAN Domestic team who have fought alongside me, as well as our supporters who have consistently provided unwavering support,” said Karin with great enthusiasm.
May this award serve as motivation for more individuals and organizations to take concrete steps in advocating for animal welfare. With growing collaboration and support, it is hoped that the lives of animals in Indonesia will become increasingly prosperous and filled with compassion.
